Connector এর নিয়ম বা Connector এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Connector করার নিয়ম ও ব্যবহার সম্পর্কে জানতে গেলে সর্বপ্রথম প্রতিটি connector এর ব্যবহার যোগ্য অর্থ জানা আবশ্যক। আশা করি উপরের তালিকা থেকে connectors গুলোর অর্থ মোটা মুটি আয়ত্ত করতে পেরেছি। নিম্নে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ connectors এর নিয়ম ও ব্যবহার সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত তুলে ধরা হল-

📖 Connector হিসেবে Unfortunately বা Unluckily বা Unexpectedly এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Unfortunately বা Unluckily বা Unexpectedly অর্থ দুর্ভাগ্যক্রমে বা দুর্ভাগ্যবশত। সাধারণত ভালো কিছু আশা করার পরো খারাপ কিছু ঘটলে Unfortunately বা Unluckily বা Unexpectedly শব্দ গুলো connector হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে জয়লাভ করতে চেয়েছিল দুর্ভাগ্যবশত সে সফল হতে পারে নি=He wants to win, unfortunately he can not be success.

📖 Connector হিসেবে In order to এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ সাধারণত কোনো কিছু করার উদ্দেশ্যে কিছু করা অর্থে in order to ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে পরীক্ষায় ভালো ফল করার উদ্দেশ্যে বেশি করে পড়ে=He reads more in order to make a good result.

📖 Connector হিসেবে In order that বা sothat এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ সাধারণত complex sentence এ বাক্যের দুটি অংশের মাঝে sothat বা in order that ব্যবহার করা হয়। Sothat বা in order that অর্থ যাতে। দুটি কাজের একটি করার কারণে অন্যটি করা হয় বোঝাতে in order that বা sothat ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে বেশি করে পড়ে যাতে পরীক্ষায় ভালো ফল করতে পারে=He reads more sothat he can make a good result.

📖 Connector হিসেবে That এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ That অর্থ ঐটা বা সেটা বা যে বা যা বা যেটা।

❐ যেমন- যে আমাকে বলেছিল যে সে স্কুলে গিয়েছিল=He told me that he went to school.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Whether বা Whether--or এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ হবে কি হবে না, করবো কি করবো না, যাবো কি যাবো না এমন অনিশ্চয়তা বোঝাতে Whether বা Whether--or ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।

❐ যেমন- আমি জানি না যে সে খাবে কি খাবে না=I do not know whether he eat or do not eat.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Whatever এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Whatever অর্থ যা কিছু। সাধারণত যা কিছু চাওয়া হোক না কেন, যা কিছু আশা করা হোক না কেন অর্থে whatever ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।

❐ যেমন- তুমি যাকিছুই তুমি আশাকর না কেন, সে আসবে না=Whatever you hope, he will not come.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Whenever এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Whenever অর্থ যে কোন সময় বা যখনি হোক না কেন। অনির্দিষ্ট সময় বোঝাতে whenever ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।

❐ যেমন- যখনি তুমি আমাকে ডাকবে, আমি ফিরে আসবো=Whenever you call me, I will come back.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Whoever এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Whoever অর্থ যে কেও হোক বা যে কেও হোক না কেন। সাধারণত অনির্দিষ্ট কোনো ব্যক্তি বোঝাতে whoever এর ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।

❐ যেমন-সে যে কেও হোক না কেন, আমি তাকে পছন্দ করি না=Whoever he is, I do not like him.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Wherever এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Wherever অর্থ যে কোনো যায়গায় বা যেখানেই হোক। সাধারণত সর্বস্থানে বোঝাতে wherever ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- তুমি যেখানেই যাও, আমাকে তুমি পাবে না=wherever you go, you will not get me.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Since বা As বা When বা For বা On account of বা Due to বা Owing to বা Because বা Because of এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Since বা As বা When বা For বা On account of বা Due to বা Owing to বা Because বা Because of সাধারণত কারণে বা জন্যে বা যেহেতু বা সেহেতু অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়। একটি কাজের কারণে অন্য একটি কাজ সংঘটিত হয় বোঝাতে এগুলো connectors ব্যবহার করা যায়।

❐ যেমন- তার দারিদ্রতার কারণে সে বেশি খেতে পারে না=Because of his being poor, he can not eat more.

📖 Connector হিসেবে By all means বা Any how বা Any way বা In any cost এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ By all means বা any how বা any way বা in any cost সাধারণত যে কোনো প্রকারে বা যে কোনো উপায়ে অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়। কোনো কাজ যে কোনো উপায়ে সার্বিক ভাবে করা অর্থে এই connectors বা linkers গুলো ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- যে কোন উপায়ে তুমি অবশ্যই কাজটি করবে=You must do the work any how.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Though বা Although এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Though বা although অর্থ যদিও। একটি কাজ হওয়ার ফলে অন্য একটি কাজ হওয়ার কথা কিন্তু তা না হয়ে বিপরীত কিছু ঘটলে though বা although ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- যদিও সে গরীব তবুও সে সৎ=Though he is poor, he is honest.

📖 Connector হিসেবে In spite of বা Despite এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ In spite of বা Despite অর্থ 'সত্ত্বেও'। সাধারণত একটি কাজ সংঘটিত হওয়ার ফলে অন্য একটি কাজ হওয়ার কথা কিন্তু হয় নি বরং বিপরীত কিছু হয়েছে, এমন অর্থে inspite of বা despite ব্যবহার করা হয়। inspite of এর পর verb এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হয় তবে despite এর পর যোগ করার প্রয়োজন হয় না।

❐ যেমন- সে গরীব হওয়া সত্ত্বেও সৎ= Inspite of his being poor, he is honest.

📖 Connector হিসেবে As if বা As though বা As it এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ As if বা As though অর্থ "যেন" আর As it অর্থ "যেন ইহা"। সাধারণত অবাস্তব কল্পনা বা বাস্তব নয় এমন কল্পনার সাথে কোনো কিছুর তুলনা বোঝাতে as if/as though/as it ব্যবহার করা হয়। As if/as though এর পর যে subject বসে তার পর verb হিসেবে was/were বসে এবং subject যদি একজন ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু হয় তখন were আর বেশি হলে was বসাতে হয়। অবাস্তব কল্পনা অর্থে এমন উল্টা বসাতে হয়। অন্য দিকে as it এর বেলায় it এর পরপরি were বসাতে হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে এমন ভাবে কথা বলছে যেন সে একজন রাজা=He speaks as if he were a king.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Till the end বা To the last বা To a close এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ কোনো কাজের সাথে কিছুকে প্রথম থেকে যুক্ত করে শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করা অর্থে till the end, to the last, to a close ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত সে পরীক্ষায় উপস্থিত ছিল =He was present in the exam till the end.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Yet এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Yet অর্থ 'তখনো' বা 'এর পরেও' । সাধারণত কোনো কাজ সংঘটিত হওয়ার ফলে অন্য আরেকটি কাজ সংঘটিত হওয়া ঠিক নয় তার পরেও সংঘটিত হয়েছে এমন অর্থে yet ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে এক জন ছাত্র, এর পরেও সে স্কুলে যাই না=He is a student, yet he do not go to school.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Long long ago বা Many day ago বা Once upon a time বা Once বা In the past বা In ancient time এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ সাধারণত অতীতে কিছু ঘটেছিল বা বহু বছর আগে কিছু ঘটেছিল এমন ঘটনার বর্ণনা দিতে long long ago বা many day ago বা once upon a time বা once বা in the past বা in ancient time এর ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- কোনো এক সময়ে, এক গ্রামে একজন বৃদ্ধ কৃষক বাস করতো=Once upon a time, there lived a old farmer in the village.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Enough to এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Enough to সাধারণত অসামর্থ্য বা যথেষ্ট প্রকাশ করতে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- এটি বই গুলো বহন করার মত এত শক্ত সামর্থ নয়=It is not so strong enough to load the books.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Not only--but also এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Not only--but also শুধু এই নয় আরো আছে অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- শুধু রহিম নয় করিমো কাজটি পারে=Not only Rahim but also Karim can do the work.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Either--or এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Either--or অর্থ এইটি অথবা সেইটি অর্থে either--or ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন-হয় সে অথবা তুমি কাজটি করবে=Either he or you will do the work.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Neither --nor এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ এটাও নয় আবার ওটাও নয় অর্থে neither--nor ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- না তুমি না সে ভালো=Neither you nor he is good.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Lest এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Lest সাধারণত পাছে ভয় হয় এমন অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- দ্রুত দৌড়াও, নইলে পাছে ট্রেনটি মিস করে ফেলবে=Run first, lest you should miss the train.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Thus বা In this way এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Thus বা In this way অর্থ এভাবে বা একই ভাবে। সাধারণত কোনো কাজ ধারাবাহিক ভাবে ঘটার পর একি ভাবে আরেকটি ঘটনা ঘটলে Thus বা In this way ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে একজন খারপ ছেলে, সে নিয়মিত স্কুলে যাই না, একই ভাবে সে সত্য কথা বলে না=He is a bad boy, he does not go to school. in this way he does not speak the truth.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Of course বা Really বা Actually বা Indeed বা In fact এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Of course বা Really বা Actually বা Indeed বা In fact অর্থ প্রকৃত পক্ষে। প্রকৃত পক্ষে কিছু ঘটে বা ঘটেছে বোঝাতে এসকল শব্দ ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে পরীক্ষায় পাশ করে নি, প্রকৃত পক্ষে সে বেশি পড়ে না=He do not pass in the exam, actually he do not read more.

📖 Connector হিসেবে The other বা Another বা The latter এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ The other বা Another বা The latter অর্থ অন্যটি বা পরেরটি। একটার পর আরেকটা বোঝাতে The other বা Another বা The latter ব্যবহার করা যায়।

❐ যেমন- রহিম এবং করিম উভয়ি ছাত্র। কিন্তু পরের জন একজন ভালো ক্রিকেটার=Both Rahim and Karim are students. But the latter is a good cricketer.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Rather--than এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Rather অর্থ বরং আর than অর্থ থেকে বা চেয়ে। এটা করার চেয়ে বরং এটা করবো এমন অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে rather--than ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন-আমি বরং মরবো তবু ভিক্ষা করবো না=I will reather die than begg.

📖 Connector হিসেবে As like as বা Alike বা Similarly বা In the same way এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ As like as বা Alike বা Similarly বা In the same way অর্থ একই ভাবে বা একি রকম। একটি কাজের মতো একি ভাবে অন্য আরেকটি কাজ সংঘটিত হলে এসকল Connectors ব্যবহার করা যায়।

❐ যেমন- সে তার ভাইয়ের মতই কাজটি করেছিল=He did the work similarly his brother.

📖 Connector হিসেবে According to বা Accordingly বা In accordance with এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ According to বা accordingly বা in accordance with সাধারণত কোনো কিছু অনুযায়ী বা অনুসারে কিছু ঘটে এমন অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- সে আমার নির্দেশ অনুযায়ী কাজটি শেষ করেছিল=He finished the work according to my order.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Even now বা Till now বা Still এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Even now বা Till now বা Even অর্থ এখনো পর্যন্ত বা এখনো। সাধারণত কোনো কাজ শুরু হয়ে এখনো পর্যন্ত চলছে বোঝাতে Even now বা Till now বা Still ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।

❐ যেমন- আমি তাকে বাড়ি আসতে বলেছিলাম, এখনো পর্যন্ত সে বাড়ি আসে নি=I told him to come home, even now he do not come.

❐ Till বা Untill অর্থ যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত বা যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত না। সাধারণত অপেক্ষমাণ সময় অর্থে Till বা Untill ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।

❐ যেমন- এখানে অপেক্ষা করুন, যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত না আমি ফিরে আসি=Wait here, Untill I come back.

📖 Connector হিসেবে If বা even if এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ If অর্থ যদি এবং even if অর্থ এমন কি যদি। সাধারণত একটি কাজ করলে অপর কাজটি হবে বা হয় এমন হ্যা বোধক শর্তযুক্ত বাক্যে if বা even if ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- যদি তুমি বেশি করে পড় তবে তুমি পরীক্ষায় পাশ করবে=If you read more, you will pass in the exam.

📖 Connector হিসেবে If--not বা Unless এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ If--not বা Unless অর্থ যদি না। একটি না করলে অপারটি হয় না এমন শর্ত যুক্ত না বোধক অর্থে If--not বা Unless ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন- যদি তুমি বেশি করে না পড়ো তবে তুমি পরীক্ষায় পাশ করতে পারবে না= If you do not read more, you will not pass in the exam.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Surely বা of course বা no doubt বা Undoubtedly এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Surely বা of course বা no doubt বা Undoubtedly সাধারণত কোনোকিছু নিশ্চিন্ত ভাবে করা হবে এমন বোঝাতে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন-অবশ্যই আমি সেখানে যাবো=Of course I will go there.

📖 Connector হিসেবে Above all এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ Above all অর্থ সর্বোপরি বা সব কিছু বিবেচনা পূর্বক। সাধারণত সবকিছু বিবেচনা করে কিছু দেখা যায় বা বোঝা যায় এমন অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে Above all ব্যবহার করা হয়।

❐ যেমন-সর্বপরি, সে একজন ভালো ছাত্র=Above all, he is a good student.

📖 Connector হিসেবে All on a sudden বা Suddenly এর ব্যবহারঃ

❐ All on a sudden বা Suddenly অর্থ হঠাৎ। কিছু হঠাৎ করে ঘটে গেলে All on a sudden বা Suddenly ব্যবহার করা যায়।

❐ যেমন- আমরা ভাত খাচ্ছিলাম, হঠাৎ সে উঠে দাঁড়িয়েছিল=We were eating rice, suddenly he stood up.

📖 Rules of Connector

❐ Sentence connector বা Sentence linkers -এর ওপর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কিছু নিয়ম বিশদভাবে বর্ণনা করা হলো। পর্যাপ্ত অনুশীলনের মাধ্যমেই এক্ষেত্রে ভালো করা সম্ভব।

❐ যেসব word বা phrase. linkers হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় সেগুলো হলো : ➺

❐ 1. Sub-ordinating conjunction : ➺ that, so that, in order that, it, whether, though, althouh, since, as, in order to etc.

❐ 2. Co-ordinating conjunction : ➺ and, but, or, therefore, as well as, as soon as, both, and, yet, still, either..or, neither.. nor, so, otherwise, while, whereas, not only…but also, both…and, so…that, no sooner… that etc.

📖 Rule-1: কোনো বর্ণনার ধারাবাহিকতা বা ঘটনাক্রম বোঝাতে সাধারণত যেসব Linkers ব্যবহৃত হয়-

❐ At first , firstly, in the first place, at the beginning…

❐ Secondly, thrid, thirdly,… finally.

❐ At last, lastly, in the end, to conclude…finally.

❐ next, after that, then, afterword… ইত্যাদি

❐ Example : ➺ If you want to do well in the examination, you have to certain things. At first you have to read attentively. secondly you have to memorize some important answers to question. Thirdly you have to write them after memorising finally you have to revise them frequently.

📖 Rule-2 : সাদৃশ্য বা মিল বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত Linkers- similarly, in the same way, in the same manner ইত্যাদি।

❐ Rul-3 : ➺ বৈসাদৃশ্য বা অমিল বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত linkers-on the contrary, on the other hand, instead of, in lieu of ইত্যাদি।

📖 Rule-4 : কোনো বক্তব্যের অতিরিক্ত কিছু বা বাড়তি কিছু বলতে ব্যবহৃত linkers-in addition to, furthermore, moreover, besides ইত্যাদি।

❐ Example : ➺ The paragraph and essays are different from each other. Besides there are some similarities between thaem. firstly the paragraph has a topic sentence to introduce the main idea. Secondly it has a number of sentences in the middle of develop that idea. Finally there is a concluding sentence in it to bring the main idea to a close. Similarly the essay also consists of a beginning, a middle and an end. It is therefore, obvious that the paragraph and the essay share some common features.

❐ Ruls-5 : ➺ যা স্বাভাবিক হওয়া উচিত, তা না বুঝিয়ে অন্যকিছু বোঝালে বা বিপরীত বোঝালে ব্যবহৃত Linkers-Though, although, but inspite of, despite, nevertheless ইত্যাদি।

❐ Rohan worked very hard. Nevertheless (তা সত্ত্বেও) he could not prosper in life.

❐ Though he is poor, he is honest.

📖 Rule-6 : কোনো বর্ণনায় উদাহরণ দিতে হলে সাধারণত নিম্নোক্ত Linkers-গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয়।

❐ For example, for instance, such as, as for example etc.

❐ There are many kinds of birds in our country. Such as the dove, the magpic, the crow, the sparrow etc.

📖 Rule-7 : ➺ কোনো কাজ বা ঘটনার ফলশ্রুতি বা ফলাফল বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত Linkers -consequently, hence, therefore, as a result, etc.

❐ Sumaiya is a hard working girl. She was very much attentive to studies and worked very hard. As a result, she cut a good figure in her SSC exam.

📖 Rule-8 : কোনো বিষয়ের বর্ণনায় সমাপ্তিতে বা উপসংহারে অথবা সংক্ষেপে প্রকাশ করতে কিছু Sentence connectors- in conclusion, to conclude, in fine, in brief, in short, to sum up etc.

❐ To conclude, I want to say that every man should take care of his health.

📖 Rule-9 : Pronoun-গুলো Sentence linkers হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়- ব্যক্তি বোঝাতে Who, whose, whom; বস্তু অর্থে that, what; সময় বুঝাতে when এবং স্থান বুঝাতে Where ব্যবহৃত হয়।

📖 Rule-10 : এছাড়া কারণ বুঝাতে As/since ব্যবহৃত হয়। উপরোল্লেখিত Linkers ছাড়াও আরও কিছু Linking words আছে যা শুধু অনুশীলন করার মাধ্যমেই আয়ত্বে আনা সম্ভব।

📖 Rule -11 : And /as well as /along with /together with এ ধরনের linker গুলো noun /verb /adjective /adverb /preposition এর মাঝে সংযোজক হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় ।যেমন –Mamun together with Maruf came to my office

📖 Rule-12: Not only ………..but also (শুধু নয় ….আরও ): ➺ দুটি বিষয় বস্তু , ঘটনা ইত্যাদির শুধু একটি নয়, অপরটিও হয় এমন বোঝাতে প্রথম টির আগে not only এবং পরেরটির আগে but also বসে । যেমন -Not only Tanny but also Tania is now going to America this year.

📖 Rule -13: Either …or (হয় ..অথবা) : ➺ দুটির /দুজনের মধ্যে হয় একটি / একজন অথবা অন্যটি /অন্যজনএ রকম বোঝাতে এ linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Either I or my friend will raise the flag.

📖 Rule -14: Neither … nor (এটাও নয় ..ওটাও নয়): ➺ দুটিবিষয়ের /বস্তুর বা দুই ব্যক্তির কেউই নয় / কোনটিই নয় এমন বোঝাতে এই linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন -Neither Rana nor his sister passed.

📖 Rule-15: …Both …and … এবং উভয়েই / উভয়টিই দুটিবস্তু /বিষয় বা দুই ব্যক্তি /পক্ষের উভয়টি / উভয়কেই বোঝাতে এই linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমনBoth my friend and cousin came on the occasion of my birthday.

📖 Rule -16: Relative pronouns : ➺ who ,which ,that ,what ,whom , whose এই pronoun গুলো sub- ordinating conjunction হিসেবে দুটি পৃথক বাক্যকে একটি বাক্যে পরিণত করে । যেমন: ➺ The man who came here yesterday is my brother.

📖 Rule-17: Including ,consisting of , comprising অন্তর্ভূক্তকরে অন্তর্ভূক্ত রয়েছে , এমন বিষয় বা বস্তুর আগে এই linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Both the schools comprising engineers and geologists do not Rule out the possibility of major earthquake .

📖 Rule -18: As a result /for this /for this reason /that is why /this is why /thus /as a consequence / consequently /there for /so /hence কারণে/ফলে / এভাবে/ তাই দ্বারা কোনো কিছুর কারণ বোঝালে সেই কারণে সংঘটিত প্রভাবের আগে উপরোক্ত linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Bangladesh is small country so, she cannot house her large population.

📖 Rule -19: In short / in brief /in a few words / in a word / in a nutshell /in fine /in conclusion /to sum up / to summarize /on the whole (সংক্ষেপে /এককথায় বলতে গেলে) : ➺ পূর্বে আলোচিত কোনো বক্তব্যের ইতি টানতে তার পূর্বে এই linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ His whole family depends on him. He is the only earning member of his family. In a word, he is the umbrella of his family.

📖 Rule -20: In other words / in the other way অন্য কথায় অন্য ভাবে বলতে গেলে কোনো বক্তব্যকে একবার লিখে একইবক্তব্যকে অন্যভাবে প্রকাশ করতে হলে এই Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন He is a politician. In other words , he is a man with heavy power and pelf.

📖 Rule -21: Moreover / besides /in addition /in a addition to that / further more /in addition to / again তা ছাড়া / অধিকন্তু /আবার আগের বক্তব্যের সঙ্গে আরও বক্তব্য সংয্ক্তু করতে এই Linkers গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ The man has a big flat. Besides this, he has a car .

📖 Rule -22: At the same time / after that / subsequently /Then /coincidentally একই সময়ে / যুগপতভাবে : ➺ একই সময়ে সংঘটিত দুটি বিষয়ের মধ্যে এই Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Rahim was reading a book . At the same time ,Karim was writing a letter to this mother .

📖 Rule -23: At the end / at last /at length/ finally / lastly / at the eleventh hour / eventually / last of all অবশেষে / সবশেষে ধারা বাহিক কোনো ঘটনার মধ্যে সর্বশেষ ঘটনা বা বিষয়টির আগে এই Linkers গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় যেমন : ➺ The old sailor prayed for seven days. At last, God took pity on the old sailor.

📖 Rule -24: Too / also /as well (আরও) : ➺ আরও কোনো কিছু ঘটতে পারে অধিক ঘটনা বা বস্তুকে উল্লেখ করার পর এই Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় ।Z‡e also কে sentence এর শুরুতে , মাঝে এমনকি শেষে ও ব্যবহার করা যায়। যেমন : ➺ He needs a pen .He also needs a book .

📖 Rule -25: At present /at the present time /presently /now a days (বর্তমানে / আজকাল ): ➺ বর্তমান সময়ে ঘটছে ,এমন বোঝাতে এই Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ At present, the condition of the farmers is not good at all.

📖 Rule -26: Firstly /secondly /thirdly/fourthly (প্রথমত /দ্বিতীয়ত/তৃতীয়ত/চতুর্থত) : ➺ কোনো বক্তব্যকে ধারাবাহিকভাবে লিখতে গেলে এই Liker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ There are many ways to solve the food problem in Bangladesh .Firstly; we must sustain the present production of food. Secondly, we must control the rapid population growth. Thirdly, steps should be taken against the fragmentations of land. Fourthly, modern and scientific method of cultivation should be introduced.

📖 Rule-27: But/On the other hand /On the contrary /Instead of that / Whereas /In contrast (কিন্তু / অন্য দিকে) : ➺ পূর্বে লিখিত কোনো বক্তব্যের বিপরীতে কোনো বক্তব্য লিখতে গেলে এ ধরনের Linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ I expected you that day, But you did not come.I asked him for some money. In stead of that, he gave me some advice.

📖 Rule-28: Otherwise /lest অন্যকথায় /পাছে : ➺ একটি ঘটনা না ঘটলে বা একটি কাজ না হলে অপর ঘটনাটি ঘটে বা ঘটতে পারে এমন বোঝাতে দুটি ঘটনা বা কাজের মধ্যে এ ধরনের Linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Read attentively lest you should fail in the examination.

📖 Rule -29: For instance /for example /such as/ like / namely / that is to say ( যেমন /অর্থাৎ ) উদাহরন হিসেবে কিছু তথ্য যোগ করতে এ ধরনের Linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ People of the developing country do not enjoy their basic right such as freedom of movement, freedom of speech etc.

📖 Rule -30: First of all / initially / primarily /in the beginning / at the start / in the first placeসর্ব প্রথম /শুরুতে : ➺ ধারাবাহিক / পর্যায়ক্রমিক বক্তব্যকে লিখতে গেলে এ ধরনের Linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Some steps should be taken to control population in the beginning.

📖 Rule -31: Always / usually /generally /as usual /most often / very often / frequently /sometimes/ at times সর্বদা /সাধারনত / প্রায়ই / মাঝেমধ্যে: ➺ যে ঘটনা সর্বদা বা প্রায়ই বা মাঝেমধ্যে ঘটে , যে বৈশিষ্ট্য কোনো ব্যক্তি বা বিষয়েে জন্য প্রায়ই সত্য , সেই ঘটনা বা বৈশিষ্ট্যসম্পন্ন বাক্যে এ ধরনের Linker ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন I do not like him .But he comes here frequently.

📖 Rule -32: After পরে : ➺ দুটি কাজ বা ঘটনা মধ্যে যেটি আগে হয়েছে বা হয় বা হবে তার আগে After বসে । যেমন : ➺ The students came to college after the dell had rung.

📖 Rule-33: Befor /prior to that পূর্বে: ➺ পূর্বে হয়েছে এমন কাজ বা ঘটনাকে পওে ঘটেছে এমন কাজ বা ঘটনার সঙ্গে করতে Before ব্যবহার করা হয় । যেমন : ➺ The patient had died before the doctor came .

📖 Rule-34: Thus/in the way এভাবে কোনো ঘটনা কীভাবে ঘটে বা ঘটেছে , তার বিবরণ পরবর্তী সময়ে দিতে এ ধরনের Linker ধরনের ব্যবহৃত হয় ।যেমন -Most of the people of our country are illiterate .Many of them are lazy and inactive .In this way ,they become poor .

📖 Rule -35: When / while যখন একই সময়ে সংঘটিত দুটি কাজের একটির আগে এ ধরনের Linker বসে । While পরবর্তী clause টি সাধারনত continuous এর হয় । যেমন : ➺ When I came to college, I saw him. While I was sleeping, the phone rang.

📖 Rule-36: However/ nevertheless /after all (যা হোক/ মোটের উপর) : ➺ আগে লেখা কোনো বক্তব্যের সাপেক্ষে কিছুটা বা পুরোপুরি বিপরীত বা আরোও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কিছু লিখতে চাইলে তার আগে এই Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় যেমন: ➺ You should not disobey him. After all, he is your father.

📖 Rule-37: In case যদি In any case যেকোন অবস্থায় : ➺ যদি অথবা যেকোন অবস্থায় কোন কিছু করা হয় / হয়েছিল / হবে বুঝালে এই Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় যেমন: ➺ In case you come, I will go there. In any case, I will attend the meeting.

📖 Rule-38 : Really/ actually/ indeed/ in fact/ of course (অবশ্যই , প্রকৃতপক্ষে , বস্তুত) : ➺ কোন বক্তব্যের ভিত্তি সম্পর্কে নিশ্চিয়তা বা সত্যতা বা গুরুত্বের যথার্থতা প্রকাশে এ ধরনের Linker গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় যেমন: ➺ Nobody respects Mr.Rashed. in fact, he is not an honest man.

📖 Rule -39: Rather বরং কোনো কিছুতে জোর দেওয়ার জন্য এই Linker টি ব্যবহার করা হয় । যেমন : ➺ You would rather starve than steal.

📖 Rule -40: Similarly , in the same ,way .alike (অনুরুপভাবে /একইভাবে ): ➺ আগে কোনো কিছু লেখা হয়েছে ,তার সঙ্গে মিল রেখে কিছৃ ঘটছে বা ঘটবে এমন কিছু লিখতে এই Linkers গুলো ব্যবহৃত হয় । যেমন : ➺ Shamim turned the wheel. Similarly, his brother did.
